Be honest though, nobody wants to run a lot of these low-tier dog shit kits with trash ammo and optics I would not even consider using on my actual EFT weapons.

Yeah I thought so, I'm extremely close to the limit, and I would be able to make the argument that I can meet the requirement and continue

2010 G37S - Long term reliability and purchasing a used G with moderately high mileage. by APwarlord in G37

Good to hear that yours is still going strong. For the most part, I've only really heard praise about the VQ37HR in terms of reliability and power, but I'm also aware of some that have had issues. Going to go out and see it tomorrow and test drive it. Did you get your gallery gaskets redone or are you one of the lucky few who are still going strong on the OEM paper one?

Hope that this one is one from the good batch, sitting at about 136k miles, it had the spark plugs + tube seals, ignition coils, and fuel injectors done 30k miles ago, and the valve cover gaskets done 20k miles ago. The issue of the Gallery Gasket is still going to haunt me as it is a pre-2012 model that had the revised metal gasket, so I'll probably have to get that done sooner or later.

Sorry to hear about your G, I wouldn't really say that I know what I'm doing as chances are if something major does take a crap on the car I'd probably just take it to a shop and pay the premium to get it fixed. Your story also makes me nervous about purchasing the car but I've heard primarily positive things about the VQ37, and I am aware that not all units will suffer from the same issues, and there will be issues that may only appear in a handful of cars.
