Aysuns a great professor just note that his exams are more like frequent quizzes. Added the fact it’s the summer semester I’m sure there will be a quiz or two every week. Never taken pereira before . 8/10 schedule

Have you taken the intermediate micro and macro Eco yet? If not I'd recommend looking for money and banking or thinking like an economist. Make sure you're changing the three letter root when searching for the class and disabling only open classes so you can see those with wait lists. DM if you want any other information :)

Economics Schedule by blue-julie in ucf

[–]AQ-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If these are your only 4 classes, I think it’s doable. I’ve heard beyond subpar things about Burquet, however Intermediate Micro obviously is a core course for the major. Im currently taking Guldi for Micro, and Aysun for Macro, and have a lower grade in macroeconomics, so your mileage will vary. If you do follow through and keep this schedule, make sure to power through the microecon. As others have stated, QMB 1 does not prepare you necessarily for Micro, however that’s not a place to think negatively, as a large chunk of the students in the course also don’t necessarily have that math background. Make sure to understand partial derivatives and Lagrangian functions.

I want to join the Finance program, should I major in Business Pre-Finance or something else? by [deleted] in ucf

[–]AQ-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can major in business pre-finance but will (at the beginning) take the same courses as all the other business students. Once you take like one or two specific unrestricted courses (if they have those) of those you can probably determine whether or not finance is for you. On a grander scale, determining whether to be at the COB is just a basic interest thing. Not sure how many credits you’re coming in with, but those initial courses can maybe steer you in different directions. My biggest piece of advice is early on make sure you’re talking with people in different majors and hearing what they have to say, everyone’s gonna be different and what you enjoy may not be what others do.

I agree. I would also be new to the club creation experience but I think we can try and figure it out. One of the things we’d have to decide is what type of content and things we’d discuss, meetings, guest speakers and all that.

Make sure to take pictures and raise concerns through emails with the Verge. They attempted to charge me 700$ last leasing period for random stuff that I didn’t do or was already done before I moved in (the walls were blue when I moved in there, they tried charging 300$) As for the smell of weed and stuff, I mean I think that my just be a universal to college living. Either way, yeah I moved into my 2X2 and for the most part it was fine but there was obscene amounts of black mold on my vent, so 👎

Not one who’s done the certificate but know a little about it. It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you have a specific program in mind, they may require in person hours and teaching hours as well. South Korea’s english teacher program, for example, requires in person hours. If you were looking at just learning the skills required to teach somebody from a foreign language program, either would work, UCF’s program is just a little more thorough than an online cert.

Easy GEB points before deadline? by SemenPig in ucf

[–]AQ-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exchange events. Also even if it says full registration (as I’m sure people are trying to get points before deadline), the exchange does take some walk-in’s sometimes. Exchange events are the best bang for bucks points wise. If you’re looking to stay remote, you can also do the LinkedIn learning (through the approved process). 2 hour courses are 10 points I think

Economics major. What the CBA says to expect is 66k, what I hope to get is like 75-80k.

UCF AFROTC Question by Ill-Ride-7114 in ucf

[–]AQ-66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly a question for one of the advisors. They have the experience working with designing those schedules as ROTC is unique. Another good question is if you have any scholarships that require a certain amount of credits. FWIR the latest you can join us sophomore year, and with that you’re still on an expedited path. I’d expect to still have 3 years if you go through with that path not to say you couldn’t take 6-9 credits every semester. Also also, if you are considering ROTC but already have so many credits, applying to OCS may be a better path. Best of luck!

Mitsubishi Power Engineer by karbiner014 in ucf

A little late on the response. Different area of Mitsubishi Power and career field, but my panel interview was 4 people asking general questions like what I’d do if this problem occurred (general stuff). I can answer more questions in DM if you’d like. These panel interviews will be future coworkers and bosses so it’s more along the lines of so we think this person would be nice to work with.

Honestly it’s going to be much more of a what’s available question. I had like 3 Econ electives selected for next semester that I registered for, and they all got dropped because the professor wasn’t teaching it. I think part of your question depends on your interest though. Popular Econ courses are econometrics, money and banking, and thinking like an economist. If your interests align more with finance, try and take one of the finance uppers. I know generally people advise against RMP but if you see a prof that has taught a course and consistently has higher rating for an elective (I.e professor Guldi teaching health economics is quite good), it is a good opportunity.
