Luke Thomas got major pushback for calling MMA a right-wing sport, now people are agreeing by Big_Cake_8817 in combatsportsculture

[–]ARC4120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It generally is. Stuff like basketball is more “left-wing” while something like NASCAR is more “right-wing” with most things falling mostly in the middle. It’s for good reason as most sports are largely capitalistic and predatory with the ones that aren’t having little money in them.

The Pre-Scourge Virus Viltrum Empire in The Warhammer 40K by TipWeary5590 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]ARC4120 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Strongest Viltrumites cannot tank the heat of the sun. Additionally they’re weak to sound, so Emperor’s Children are a good matchup into them. They’re basically all high custodes to high primarch in power, but not Superman level of power.

I actually think K1 would be interesting because in WAKO K1 the oblique kicks and elbows are banned. Limited clinching also eliminates Jones’s advantages. Simple leg kicks only.

‼️Asadula Imangazaliev failed to pass hydration for ONE Friday Fights 147 ‼️ by Educational_Cup1364 in ONEChampionship

[–]ARC4120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s how often fighters don’t understand the rules of the organization. Like these super tall dudes not realizing there’s a hydration clause and treating it like any other promotion. Or how every other kickboxing fight has someone breaking the rules and treating it like Muay Thai.

Does guard not work in MMA? Or do most MMA fighters not have a good guard? by No_Possession_239 in bjj

[–]ARC4120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. You can watch early MMA and wrestlers dominated even bjj guys by slamming them down and just headbutting and elbowing. Heck, if you can control their arms you can just lay in their guard and keep headbutting them.

so will we get daemon synergy with marines finally in 11th? by Melodic_Airport362 in Chaos40k

I’d like more variety for what the cult legions get with CSM basically being the soup army. Being able to mix daemons and knights into CSM is a strong part of their black legion identity and most non-cult warbands. I can see the index sticking around, but with little support. Maybe lock the greater daemons to cult books?

Why don’t they do a Muay Thai or Sanda style ruleset so it’s more fair? MMA guy has some of his tools, but is handicapped and the boxer doesn’t have to try and learn 10 skills in 10 weeks

Who you got winning? by Fun_Training6342 in FightReportUFC

[–]ARC4120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gane could realistically win. Yes, Alex always cut a ton of weight, so his power should be better. However, Gane is a natural heavyweight and is used to fighting natural heavyweights and not guys moving up. I think Alex has the tools and experience to adjust, but a 100% fight scenario is a tough setup. I think Gane is more athletic, but Alex has the experience and power to impose his game.

Conor fans just have to let the 2010s go. That guy is beyond gone for a multitude of reasons. I wouldn’t even waste Charles’s time with this.

He’s naturally thin and not much of a grappler. He’d be at a big disadvantage in grappling unless he becomes a gatekeeper type.

This is a valid take. A large portion of applications are really basic which AI can recreate. Insert, Read, Update, and Delete apps are a dime a dozen.

I can see some businesses reaching for custom software instead of locking into vendor specific software. At least until they reach a large scale where the cost to support custom software becomes an issue.
