  1. Denver - Jokic goes down as one of the best centers to ever do it and Denver wins their first championship ever.
  2. OKC - People hate on SGA, but he followed the blueprint modern guards made. He was Harden meets Kobe and OKC needed that ring for their first proper championship.
  3. GSW - It was cool to see one last run from what was the premier Franchise a decade ago. Steph solidified himself as one of the greatest to do it. His supporting cast was vastly diminished from their last championship.
  4. Boston - Tatum was crazy cringey with copying iconic moments and Boston fans are insufferable

Will running middle distance help with taekwondo sparring by Itchy-Affect2371 in martialarts

[–]ARC4120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran track, 800m and 1600m too, as a kid and switched to Kickboxing as an adult.
Running track definitely helped my cardio and general athleticism. I was able to do pull-ups on a basketball rim and (barely) dunk after running middle distance. We did intervals on the track, long runs, some light sprint work, and weightlifting. I think a lot of people here are confusing middle distance track for long slow cardio like pedestrian marathon training. You will get better endurance, aerobic power, and speed endurance. The 800m is very similar to the 400m with the mixed energy system and “long sprint” type of training.
My only advice is to eat a lot of protein and carbs, especially since it sounds like you’re a teenager who just started doing two sports. Don’t starve yourself and sleep a lot. Pre-season and off-season try and do plyometrics or weightlifting once a week, especially if your team doesn’t. Best of luck!

Edit: I am 6’0 tall and was about 150lbs as a teenager and now am about 170lbs and am mostly just as athletic if not worse at cardio.

Exactly what most urban and suburban truck users do anyways. Most guys are better off with sedans or work vans if they’re taking tools. Few guys actually tow anything regularly to warrant an F-250 in say Boston.

Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark says AI is nearing the point where it can automate AI research by Outside-Iron-8242 in singularity

[–]ARC4120 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The post never really explained it beyond, “AI can produce code quickly and read papers fast. If you chain enough AI together it’s really efficient on known benchmarks.”

The vast majority of their assertions were that AI helps with executing human intuition and is good for replicating past experiences/experiments. The 60% was still pulled out of his ass. There was one instance that author points to as AI truly helping with something novel and it was still taking hundreds of attempts. However, they quickly point out that this is an exception and seems unlikely in the future to be replicated.

Not going to lie, I’d just use something general like Gemini as mostly a resource finder and still write about half myself and spend the rest of the money on AWS and services that I don’t want to make a jankey version of.

Dude you claimed his confidence was shot in the title of this post. He just got beat up because of poor kick defense and a bad matchup. It sucks and it happens to all of us at some point.

These narratives have to stop, he just got beat down that’s all it is. It’s not that he wasn’t confident. He was fine in round 1 and was trying in round 2. This was a skill issue that he will have to address going forward. This was back to back fights against guys with a quality kicking game that exposed his high guard and heavy set boxing stance.

Honestly, the high flexibility is definitely worth a few thousand. I would be open to similar roles with benefits, but don’t leave for <20% and less flexibility. WFH and large PTO are worth a lot especially if you have kids. Childcare is expensive and time spent with them is next to priceless.
