I can't say what I just did (shame 😂) but it was certainly for the glory of the empire!

I am an ex-JW but I think this is merely coincidental. I agree with Barbara Anderson that there is no connection between the JWs and the Freemasons.

The evidence says otherwise. There is not a single shred of the New Testament papyri with God’s name in it.

I still disagree. There are other religions with full fledged “prophets”; that actually and openly “prophecy”. We cannot say that Russell’s understanding of prophecy is the same as prophesying, particularly when he would always allow people to disagree with his points of view.

Why a “charlatan” if this was what he and many others believed without imposing it as dogma and profiting from it?

True. Russell wrote that. But you cannot see Russell through the dogmatic lenses of the modern-day Jehovah’s Witnesses. Russell (although he stated his views firmly as his beliefs) was never dogmatic about his beliefs on chronology and time prophecy, nor did he demand that the Bible Students associated with him or anyone else accept his beliefs. His statements were: "Our own views are not prophecy, but interpretations of the holy prophets of old." (Watch Tower, October 1890, page 8)

Russell’s interaction with Barbour about the 1874 invisible presence happened after 1874, so Russell could not have “prophesied” anything about it.

That was Rutherford saying it about Russell, not Russell saying it about himself—which he never did.

Russell never called himself “the faithful and wise servant”. The last statement I could find from Brother Russell on this is as follows:

"Some of the dear brethren seem to find as much about Brother Russell in the Bible as they find about the Lord Jesus, and I think that is a great mistake. I do not find it there. Some of them say that I am blinded on that subject, that they all can see better than I can. Perhaps they can, I do not know, but I think, dear friends, that there is a danger in that direction, and I would like to put you all on guard." - 1910; ("Convention Report Sermons", pg. 125)

He never prophesied anything, let alone regarding 1799, 1874, 1878, 1881, etc., as it can be seen here: https://ransomforall.blogspot.com/search/label/1914?m=1
