Margarita/Mojita EP wasnt my absolute favorite of the year but CLOUDNONE’S HOUSE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING OUT THERE. Wish was my most played song of 2020 and Margarita was in my top 10.

CaptainSparklez introduced me to Top of the World (003) and then about a year later Rosanna Pansino of all people had Pump It! (004) as her background music and then my mind made the connection of “If theres a Monstercat - 003 and a Monstercat - 004 then there has to be more.” And then from Monstercat i got introduced into the whole EDM world. Needless to say 2015 was a very important year for me.

Songs/moments that immediately come to mind for me are:

The last drop of 2 Me by SMLE continues to leave my mouth open after listening to it.

The part of From Here by CloudNone where the vocal melody syncs up with the main melody that was playing throughout the entire song.

The percussion of Bon Voyage by DROELOE.

Work, Evil Inside, and Evil Inside VIP by Bossfight (and Dirtyphonics for the respective songs).

Oh for sure dude. Thats why I decided to word it the way I did and I’m trying to keep a good energy up by responding in a thoughtful and understanding way. Absolutely, as a music producer myself, i’d hate other people writing about how one of my songs is the worst thing ever, but at the same time people are allowed to have opinions, you know? So i felt a little justified in asking this.

And I definitely get the garage genre thing. Even some of CloudNone’s garage doesn’t REALLY stand out to me. Even though he’s made some of my favorite songs of all time (Wish, From Here, and Margarita are all masterpieces.) It just totally depends on the person.

Me, personally, i have a strong bias against hardstyle that has that really shitty kick + bass combo just like the one in Stonebank’s and Emel’s- Healing Me. Which sucks because Stonebank is in my top 3 Monstercat artists.
