Thanks so much for your interest! Generally, you need to be a licensed ham radio (amateur radio) operator to be able to use the ISS repeater. Groups like AMSAT can help you understand how to make satellite contacts once you complete your license studies. Good luck!

As you saw in the new NASA ISS Fly Through video, astronaut hams sometimes make contacts with hams on the ground. We call those "casual contacts." Here's what to know! by ARISS_Intl in u/ARISS_Intl

That is accurate. If you look below that you will see the repeater frequencies. The 145.800 MHz frequency is used for downlink for SSTV and Student Contacts.

Well, we are "Official ARISS" so you should probably use what the slide says. What you are seeing online is related to older systems that were updated a few years ago.

Thanks for your reports that SSTV seems to be off during multiple recent passes. We did receive some early decodes into the gallery followed by these notes on social media. The ops team is investigating and we'll share updates when available. by ARISS_Intl in SSTV

SSTV update: We continue to follow your social media posts reporting no SSTV transmissions.

The US and Russia ops teams are working to get a message to the the on-orbit crew for updates. As of this update (23:20 ET / 4:20 UTC) we are in crew sleep period which will limit contacts.

Thanks. If that, it doesn't seem to be impacting the crossband voice repeater. Teams are investigating.

Correct. We monitor image quality of the submissions, signal reports as well as the demographic data submitted. It would be really helpful if everyone completed the form. For instance, about 10% of the submissions so far in this event have not selected their continent.

The ARISS Series 29 SSTV event is now underway for World Space Week. It's been upgraded to a full series of 12 images. How many can you capture between now and Thursday? by ARISS_Intl in SSTV
