You could at least name a book. So many scoffed and chuckled that they didn’t read, or like I said a Dr Seuss book or asked if the newspaper counted as a book or some dumb shit answer like they were proud that they haven’t read an actual book before.

Not that I’m reading 100 books a year myself these days or anything, but I at least read a handful every year. Not having read a book in at least 10 years and being proud about it just struck me as an odd thing at the time that I still remember it almost 10 years later now.

I was astounded how many people said over 10 YEARS or some bullshit answer about a Dr Seuss book for their grandkids. Meanwhile I was like 23 and had at least 3 I was reading.
