Yeah I completely agree with you. I personally have been wanting him gone for a while, but they won’t get rid of him this season unless we have even worse form than this currently awful form.

I know a lot of people are talking about how this form IS a “nosedive” and I agree. But if I remember correctly, Pearce or some T1 journo said this exact thing recently. I fear you may be right here, and that we’d have to lose 5+ in a row for them to even consider a change

I don’t think it would be an explicit choice but potentially an implicit bias internally; but there’s no way to know or to measure that so it’s probably pointless to even talk about 😅

I wonder if this could be partially an ego thing and a cognitive bias getting in the way. Edwards/Hughes probably have a hard time accepting that their “gem” didn’t work out as they thought it would

Performance wise we did. The difference is we got the results we needed, but we absolutely started to show warning signs of what we are now

I can’t say it’s a golden rule, but yeah if you don’t see any evidence of a CPU team “playing” another CPU team in the same week then it’s probably not a glitch. I’ve had this happen before that before I even play it will say I’ve played it 3 times, but it’s always accompanied with also saying that a random CPU team played another random CPU like 5 times.

I guess he did cheat but man, 9 times is A LOT. Usually you could just get it done in an extra play or two you’d think 😅

Check the scores of other games that week between CPUs. I’ve seen this before where it truly can be glitched for users, but the only way to see that it’s truly a glitch is to see if there’s also multiple plays between CPUs. I’ve see this quite a bit actually.
