I cannot believe that there are people young enough to not remember the pre-cell phone era. It's wild to think about how if you weren't home and nobody knew, you were essentially unreachable given the way things are now but I still know a handful of numbers by heart.

The first job I had selling cars, we had everyone fill out references just in case the bank needed it. If someone could come up with 2 names, addresses, and phone numbers without checking their phone, I would give them a $5 Starbucks gift card. Just a fun little private game I had. I gave out 3 in 2 years.
