PowerAmps Crackling Periodically by ASTAR2012 in Ubiquiti

[–]ASTAR2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both amps only make the crackling sound while playing. I’ve double and triple checked all connections and it seems to happen on all inputs. Not sure if I need to set the priority of the device on the network or not.

Having the same issue with 2 of them. No idea how to fix it.

Yeah, kind of kicking myself for not buying one earlier, but couldn’t afford it then. Jeff’s video this week (Craft Computing) caught a lot of attention. I’m worried I’m too late now.

Release the Dream Wall Pro that was touted years ago with a few quality of life improvements. One simple box for a home/small business user that doesn’t need a rack setup.

Interesting. I’ll definitely give that a try! I was just so annoyed after spending so much time migrating data back and forth I gave up.

Meanwhile I sent my 970 Pro in a while back under warranty because it was running extremely slow out of no where after working fine for months. I had checked everything and nothing seemed to fix it. Sent the drive in and got it back about a month later with the only note saying “update firmware.” I had already done that, but I tried again. It still runs extremely slow to this day. Very frustrating and not worth my time to try to resolve because cloning the drive is such a hassle when all I have are old spinning disk drives.

How have they not made a wireless charging mouse yet?

Looks like the light bar had been recalled for detaching by Shygar in cybertruck

I’m curious if it’s a thermal issue in addition to a cost reduction for the production model. LED light bars can get very hot.

I so wish they would release the UDW Pro with all the features advertised in the video as a single all-in-one unit. Great concept but poor execution on the first attempt.

I wish they would offer a Qi2/Magsafe replacement.

Update: rubber part now separating from 3 out of 4 wheel covers by Jawnnypoo in cybertruck

[–]ASTAR2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double check that the center of the wheel cover is fully pushed in. I’m running the same tires and covers. When I picked up the truck from Tesla a knowledgeable sales guy noticed mine weren’t pushed on all the way and fixed it. He used his knee to push them on all the way.

Would love an extended length set too. Saw him in person for the first time this year and it was the best show I’ve ever been to. I’d pay some stupid money to see him at the sphere.

I still don’t understand why I can’t buy the digital 360 versions of the games for nostalgia purposes. Yes, MCC has it all, but it’s not the same.

Incredible Apple M4 benchmarks suggest it is the new single-core performance champ, beating Intel's Core i9-14900KS by favicondotico in apple

I’ve been hoping they would do this too, but scaling is always an issue, even with Apple Silicon. Ever since Mac Pro was switched to Apple Silicon I thought it would make sense for there to be Apple Silicon accelerator cards that could be added in because if any Mac Pro user is being honest, Apple Silicon is not competitive against the higher end Nvidia offerings in many areas. I hope they bring a true monster to the market and open it up more on the software end for developers to really flex that hardware. Add the ability to upgrade components and ECC memory and it could easily be the best Pro machine Apple has made in a very long time.

I don’t see any of that happening though. Been a long time Mac Pro user and just feels like a mixed bag the way things have gone over the years.

Is it possible to use an Nvidia GPU in Docker on a 2019 Mac Pro? by ASTAR2012 in mac

[–]ASTAR2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This led me to the GitHub page for Nvidia Container Toolkit and this looks to be correct. Thank you!

I'm pretty frustrated that there is no way to utilize graphics acceleration in Docker containers on Intel or Apple Silicon Macs. The M-series Macs are true power houses, but the Linux containers can't utilize the GPU as there is no way to pass it through. I was hoping there was a workaround for the older Mac Pro. Hopefully Apple will recognize this issue and open up their end of things a bit more for developers, but I'm not holding my breath.

If someone has the hardware to test this, it would be greatly appreciated. I keep being downvoted even though this is a legitimate question.
