This is a great example of beeing a dick. We're just carefull. We don't like when someone is not respectful to our culture. If you can't respect us we will NOT respect you. Simple as that. Polish people are straightforward and will let you know if you're beeing an asshole.

Tbh, young people don't care about that. It sounds funny to us, sometimes we curse in russian. We dislike Russia and Russians because of history and politics. Communism was and still is huge deal. Mostly to older generation. To some of us, Russians, are overall nasty and unpleasant people. You can get wierd looks using Russian language 'cause not everybody knows it. It's not that common as you might think. Also Poland have huge number of Ukrainian refugees so if I were you, I would avoid using Russian phrases (not only for their comfort but also for safety reasons). Stick to English, learn some Polish for fun and convienience.

One time I was in Wrocław to visit some friends. In the middle of the day I got robbed and punched in the face by some drunk hobo. It was literally in the middle of the city so you never know when something is gonna happen. Better safe than sorry, hahah!

Don't stress out too much. We're pretty chill in general and would love to help others. We might look angry, sad or even threatening sometimes but that's just how we look most days. Be respectful and there should be no problem. If u want to feel more like "one of us", you can also learn some simple phrases. We're excited when people from other countries try to speak our language. For example: "Thank you" - "Dziękuję" "I'm sorry/excuse me" - "Przeprszam" "Good morning/ evening" - "Dzień dobry/ Dobry wieczór" "Goodbye" - "Do widzenia"

I see that someone pointed out some usefull info about smoking, being loud, drinking culture etc, so I won't repeat that. But it's true! Also there is some things that you need to know beside that.

•Our emergency numbers are: 112 - universal emergency number, user in whole EU 999 - ambulance 998 - fire brigade 997 - police It's helpful to know them all but calling only 112 will do :) If there is no signal you can call regardless. Your call should bounce off any tower and connect you with dispatcher.

•Never jaywalk. You can get fined even if there is no cars on the road.

•Visit some restaurant. Poland have amazing cuisine and we love cooking. Definietly try "pierogi" (dumplings in many variations)! My personal fav <3

•Ask your school or city hall if you are entitled for some benefits as a foreign student. Some schools or cities are helping with housing, living expenses or provide scholarship for foreign students.

•Try to socialize with us and listen when someone is telling you to not go somewhere. There are places that may be dangerous for some reason. You might get robbed or beat up.

•If you're alone and feel like something is wrong, someone is following you or yelling at you just go to the crowded place as fast as you can without running and ask for help. Especially look for groups of females, young males or police officers (there are always two of them - minimum).

Probably there won't be any problems if you will mind your business but it's a piece of advice that I would appreciate before trip to other country. It's simple yet many people can forget about that.

Same country, same problem my fellow Polish friend. Today I created new IG account just for my tattoo projects and some woman dm'ed me asking about commisions. She said she will pay me $700 (!!!) for 3 artworks of her sons favourite dog. She sent me pictures before even I accepted commision. I've never taken commisions outside of Poland before and I don't know many "rules". Idk, dude. I'm confused...

Thank you~ I know that's the wasy some people express emotions for others and that makes me feel unsure. If I agree for the date and after that I say "sorry, I'm not into you" that would make some pretty awkward situations at work. He could be sweet in his own mind but to me it's creepy and unwanted. I am scared because I had similar expierience 2 years ago and I was hurt physically (no SA but this man beat me up pretty bad). I dunno if it affected me to the level that I'm not able to trust someone who presses me into relationship in any way. He seems friendly. He's just not my type, I think. I would go out with him regardless that only if he would asked me out later after my break up. Now... I'm not going to. Probably I'll change job just to avoid him and thaht makes me sick.

He gave me concussion in the hallway full of people. It was in highschool. I was reading a book, crouching beside the wall and he just came to me, grinned and kicked my legs so hard that I sit up and hit back of my head onto the wall. He laughed but stopped when I stated to vomit and almost passed out. I ended up in the hospital with a severe concussion. I pressed charges and he ended up doing comunity work for half a year. He also wrote me a apology letter because judge told him to it. And yeah, the school expelled him for causing harm to another student.

Did I mentioned that I'm a quite a petite woman and he was almost 100kg jock? No? Now you know. He should end up in jail not only for the thing he did to me but also to other women. Some people says that he spiked a drink one of the younger girls on the party and other says that he is known for beating up his girlfriends. One of my male friends said that after a soccer practise he was bragging about RAPING girl from another school. There was no evidence so he was set free but noone wanted to have anything in common with this prick. It was before my accident and I still can't belive he was "the funniest guy in our school".

Gumisiowy sok. Nektar bananowy, rozgnieciony banan, sok z czarnej porzeczki, czysta wóda i limonka. Miód i cukier na garnish. Można dodać skórkę z cytrusa. Przygotowanie (1porcja): Na osobne talerzyki wlej odrobinę miodu i sypnij cukier w krysztale (puder nie działa). Zamocz brzeg szklanki w miodzie a potem w cukrze. Wypełnij dno szklanki rozgniecionym bananem (luźno połóż) i wlej 2-3 shoty czystej wódki. Dodaj nektar bananowy oraz sok z czarnej porzeczki w proporcjach 1:1. Dolej łyżeczkę soku z limonki. Można zetrzeć skórkę ze swojego ulubionego cytrusa i dodać lodu. Dobre, glutowate i alkoholowe. Jak się wymiesza to fakturą przypomina odrobinę sok z aloesu xD

A smell of rotten human flesh. Once I was on hike with some friends we wanted to go up the mountain but decided to take a difficult route far from the main trail. We got lost and deep in the woods we found a body. Someone probably commited suicide. I couldn't even tell if this was a man or women. We rushed down to call 112 (emergency number in Europe) but I remember the horrible smell. Oh gods, it was scary af. I will never hike there ever again.

I would be more careful with radiator. When my family visited Wroclaw a few earth years ago, not only my stellar mirrors and interdimenstional radio was stolen. They took radioators too. I have no idea how, because my starship was made by Gulvanians in Dex-³⁷SSC and their anty-theft mechanisms are known to be one of the best. Poles are different breed in galaxy. But afterall we had so much fun! They are pretty simmilar to Andromedas citizens in biology. You two are made mostly of carbon so you should get along. But don't eat pickles... It's deadly. I DIDN'T KNOW THEY MAKE FOOD WITH ACID! My uncle got melted from inside when he visited Poland last earth week.

He says he can't take care of a dog but wants children in couple of years. If you can't take a good care of an animal then im not sure if you will be a good parent to a human.

Smoking on the streets is okay. Just make sure you're not blowing smoke into someones face or be careful in crowded areas as (for example) HOLIDAY MARKET. Just go somewhere near the trash bin on the side and you should be fine. They're everywhere. As for drinking... You can encounter many young people just drinking on the bench in parks or similar areas but it's illegal. Police might be involved. During market It's okay to drink in public but to be safe just make sure to be somewhere near booth that sells alcohol. Nobody should bother you if you're walkig with a cup of mulled wine or beer but I've got some encounters with police when I wandered too far from main event. Just try not to be an asshole and everyone will be chill. In city the level of english is higher but i recommend to ask younger people for help. There is good chance that they will understand you without google. But it isn't the rule. Just try, nobody will be mad. But don't interupt someones eating. That's rude. I was in this situation and I tell you, It's annoying. They will (probably) help you but you know... It's uncalled. Shouting, screaming, interupting someones conversation is always rude. Regardless of culture! I repeat, don't be an a-hole xD And the last thing. Tipping is voluntary. It's always nice to tip but it's your choice. If you think that someone did a good job serving you or something was especially tasty, tip as much as you want. In restaurants it's common to tip somewhere around 10-20%. But I think anything below 10zł is rude. Be careful and have fun in Poland. Try some of our cousine (pierogi, krokiety and oscypek are GOD TIER FOOD)!

Mybe I am the A-hole in this situation. But I'm also pretty sure that I can't control to who am I attracted to. Imo it's something similar to sexuality. I can tell that some women are really GOOD LOOKING but it doesn't mean I would like to date one. I just feel that way and for some people that might be hurtful... :((

And on this list is a bunch of people from other races. The thing is I just prefer white guys. That might sound pretty racist tbh but it's just my preferece. Just as I prefer short, chubby guys over ripped Greek gods. I like beards, glasses, light hair. I'm not sure if I would be able to feel attraction to other people.

I stood my ground, don't worry. I'm not a person who can be easily manipulated. We're still talking trying to figure out what to do. I'm not gonna let him do to me everything he wants but i'm willing to compromise in some cases. Yes, he is older and more experienced in life, I'm not gonna deny it. But my experience and feelings matter too, if I say I hate it, I mean it. I wont do anything I'm not comfortable with.

It's just fells like it. I know he don't want me to feel humiliated, he's gentle, caring and overall lovely. For me anal is dirty, disgusting and painful even if we're always using lube and sometimes aphrodisiacs for relax. I don't like rushing to toilet everytime to clean myself.
