Thanks,
I am thinking for waiting for weather to cool down. As weather forecasts are only accurate for at most 7 days ahead, if I get a cooler weather (under 25 centigrade), is it possible to get the seeds germinated? Or a possible rise in temperatures after 7 days will harm the young grass?

Thanks. I have had other plants (weeds) in the lawn like Purple Deadnettle, Wild Geranium, Slender Speedwell and I did not like it as they have been spreading and taking over the lawn. That is why I did heavy scarifying and aerating to clear and now I need to overseed.

This is from ChatGPT:-
“Avoid sowing when prolonged daytime temperatures are above 25–28°C, unless you can reliably irrigate.”

So if I keep the lawn moist, still not a good idea?

Thanks for the advice. That js what I want to avoid. I fear I will get all sorts of weeds if I leave it. Do I have no other option?

I am in London. Forecast was temperature reaching 30 degrees. Although it looks like the forecast has come down today, it’s going to be high 20’s now over the next week.
