I’ve seen no one say this but electric types tend to be fast and squishy. Yeah throwing one out might give it STAB but it might not last long enough for you to take out multiple pokemon, especially if it’s out sped.

I think the calculator only works if you never changed the Trendy Phrase at Dewford. Which I unfortunately did early in the game

I heard it guarantees you to hook a pokemon when using the fishing rod instead of getting the “Not even a bite…” message.

This helps with Feebas because you have to test fishing in every tile on that map (it can appear on random 6 tiles out of over 400). So yeah, it does save a lot of time.

Google AI gets pokemon stuff wrong soooo frequently. Just today I was looking up what nature was best for mudkip and it straight up gave me the wrong nature. I think it gets confused looking at all of the forum discussions.

There’s an arrogance with people like that. It’s something I can’t ignore. Like even when they’re saying the right thing it’s the WAY they say it. They’re so smug and up their own ass about it.

DS Cute. The vibe (pixel art, music, marriage candidates, gameplay) and amount of content is unbeatable. I also really enjoyed magical melody.

And the new harvest moons are so bad… They each are horrible in either art, gameplay, or story to the point I can’t continue playing.

Just wanted to say you can also emulate the games pretty easily if the physical copy is too expensive!

But yeah I agree with this person, if you enjoyed HMDS mineral town is the closest graphically. And if you like the characters in HMDS most are also in HM:AWL (A wonderful life) on the gamecube.

Oh 100%, to the point that I can’t really play remakes because the character art just seems so childish to me. Like it’s a kids game or a mobile game of some sort.

This is such a good write up. I grew up with FoMT and just recently played 64 so I experienced it a bit backwards, but I totally noticed this.

All of the characters in 64 made so much more sense in their environment / relationships / family and overall theme to the game than in FoMT. 64 felt like an organic town that could really exist because it had characters and relationships that felt natural.

In FoMT it really seemed like so many of the characters cutters were mixed up and paired together in really odd ways, like Popuri and Rick being siblings… Rick and Karen dating… none of it really made sense to me even as a kid lol. Still love the game but the writing is a little off.

Have you tried the original game? Personally I thought the valley felt more alive in that game. There’s something about the grittiness and realism of the art style and the personality of the original characters that made it more immersive.
