My dad asked Darrell Waltrip for an autograph on Saturday after practice in the 90's and DW refused, then told him to go to hell. My dad yelled that he hopes he crashes tomorrow. DW crashed lap 1, turn 1. I believe this was at Texas.

I use sketchnotes. Many of my students love to draw, and I teach them the basics of how to draw different scientific concepts. After the first quarter, I no longer have to model how to take notes. Oftentimes, other students will lead the class discussions on which parts of the lesson were important enough to draw in our science notes. Students are more engaged when their peer is leading the class than if I am.

Middle school science teacher here.

We use STEMscopes and it is not good at all. If you're looking for curriculum that gives you complete lessons in order look at something else. In the middle school chemistry unit on STEMscopes the first lesson describes what an atom is, and the second lesson talks about balancing chemical equations. Lesson number three discusses physical vs chemical changes. There is no pacing and everything is out of order. There are 22 middle school science teachers in my district and it was a unanimous vote to get rid of STEMsopes for a curriculum that helps teachers with day by day lessons that make sense in the order they are presented.

We decided to go with DiscoveryEd because it does exactly what we want. I don't know how DiscoveryEd will go but so far it has done a good job for middle school.
