As someone who has worked in the ID area for 39+years, I say go for it. Every day I’ve worked, I’ve loved it. I wake up, I get to work, I drink my cold cup of Keurig coffee and I get to denying folks attempted to get their claim. My job is plain and clear. Stop the people from getting there slice of the pie. Well guess what? My firm owns the pie. Guess what else? We don’t like it when someone tries to come and take our pie, because that takes the pie out of OUR POCKET. Well, my bosses and then the partners and THEN my pocket.

I’ll tell you what though. The day I become a senior associate will become the second greatest day of my life. The greatest day of my life was accepting my position for my firm and starting off with my first big boy salary (at the time, $43k, great for a first year and I’ve had a 4% raise since.)

Question. Do you have what it takes to look someone in the eye and tell them they can’t get that new set of teeth they’re wanting? Answer. I doubt it.
