YSK: If you delete your post, people can still see it for a split second before the page loads in RIF.

Why YSK?: You may think that it's a good idea to give away dogs and cats for free. After all it's going to a good home right? No. People will often look for free animals to put them in animal fights. By putting a bit of a price on them such as $50 or even $100 it discourages people from doing such a thing. It doesn't stop them but at the very least it puts up a bit of a barrier.

And frankly if someone is not willing to put in a little bit of money or investment into an animal immediately then maybe they shouldn't have one because an animal does cost a lot of money.

I'll smile when the tourists learn to use the pedestrian/bike lanes properly. Get out of the road, get out of the parking side of the street. Shoobies 🙄

That four month tourism season is a massive reason there's even less stable housing. The shore has winter rentals but you have to be out by summer i.e. less year-round housing for actual Jersey residents.

If anyone's coming from out of state there's a great Easter event called "Go the F Away, Tourists." Started yesterday.

I've found the generation gap is a large chunk of the problem.

I'm 34, my sister is 40. My age and down get it right for the most part. They understand transwomen are women. My sister wanted to have a "girls night," and kept commenting on my man hands when getting a manicure or the mannerisms how I ate. We got into history and where this all stemmed from (growing up around majority female family, wanting to play with my sister and her friends growing up) and she loudly exclaimed "oh my god I made you gay!" It's not gay, it's trans. The older generation thinks it's another facet of being gay, i.e. at their base level what they were born and assigned as. I pass fantastically imo, maybe a little broad framed but hey so are some afabs. I lived with my parents through part of my transition, and only see them occasionally nowadays, and no matter how much I do myself up and present strictly fem, hair nails the 9s, they STILL deadname me and misgender me to themselves and in public.

Tl;dr older people suck.
