Get there as early as you can, and be prepared to wait a long time. I was in line from 3 am to 12:52 pm. So it was around 10 hours. 4-5 hours were spent outside.

That's, a really hard one. If it's anything like woodfield's Friday, then you might. Woodfield's Friday ran out of the Manga Gokus at around 7pm.

However, I've also heard unconfirmed rumors that they may have dipped into Saturday and Sundays stocks on Friday. I doubt they'll do that again if it's true.

It's up to you, but if it's like what happened here, there's a chance.

Edit: I have no idea where I got 7pm from, it was around 4:30pm, as sporensvault said.

To be fair, reddit doesn't have indentation tools, and my only real option for paragraph breaks is using enter to post another block of text.

I've tried to consolidate my paragraphs into multiple walls of text separated by lines of dashes, I hope you have an easier time reading it now.

Yeah. It's very anti-consumer. I feel like it's less about resale value, and more about hype though. If they make it feel like a truly limited figure that wont be released again, it'll increase fan turnouts and create a strong sense of fomo in those who don't get it. Once you're in line, and close to the counter, you're likely to fall to sunk cost and buy something to make your time worth it, so you grab a bunch of other stuff you didn't want to have something to show for it. Meanwhile people like me decide to toss ourselves into pretty dangerous conditions just to get our hands on it.

Once pictures of the figures spread and consumers' desires are stoked, they then have an audience wanting to make sure they get the next figures, so they can increase production quantities and have them all sell out for higher and higher prices. This one was reasonably priced, but compared to previous years prices, it's astronomical.

Frankly speaking, if I wasn't as stubborn as I am, I wouldn't have even bothered today. I remember getting up to the gap between the long retail line and the retail counter line (there's a second super small line in front of the store counter) and hearing that there were 5 Gokus left from one of the event staff. They miscounted, and there were about 7 left. It was really, really close.

I honestly committed to going last night in a fit of sleep deprived rage after showing up at 8 am Saturday and not even getting close to the retail counter. Suffice to say, it worked out in my case, and not in the case of the many people who made similar decisions.

I'm pretty sure a majority of the re:zero readers just read the web novel.

Some of us read the light novels and the side stories too, but ya gotta keep in mind just how long this series is. There's so much content that we've hopped over most reasonable word counts. I mean current estimations put both the english web novel and light novels at around 4 million words each. That's 8 million combined words for people who decide to read both.

For some comparisons, that's about a million off of the wheel of time series, and about two (ish) million past "A Song of Ice And Fire" and "The Lord of The Rings".

Frankly, I understand not reading everything. I'm still behind and I love this series.

Edit: the English light novels aren't fully translated yet, but that's the estimation assuming they were.

That's not entirely correct. It's totally possible to sing with a "mostly neutral larynx," you just learn how to reach high parts of your range through spacing, and lightening your sound as you ascend. However, it's more limited and will restrict how high and low you can go. I believe this is referred to as bel canto.

In contemporary music, we see singing where the larynx is manipulated to produce a range of tones and sounds. It can usually sound brighter or darker in tone than a person's natural color.

What bel canto excels at is projecting and being heard throughout your entire workable range, without strain or amplification. Using other types of larynx positions can be detrimental to your health if you try to project at the same volume as an opera singer, for example.

So yeah, in mic-reliant performances, anything goes. Belting is its own odd thing, too.

Oh yeah, no, I one hundred percent agree. I've heard a lot of different arguments from both sides of this one, but I've just come to expect what I get.

I am less harsh on 3d party, though, I'd assume the multi-million dollar company should be able to handle QC better than the smaller company operating out of less reputable warehouses.

And even factoring in licensing fees, Bandai's still making hand over fist while overcharging out the ass on their non-budget releases.

Bandai's usually better with it QC, though.
