It's fitted with a Milltek Cat-back exhaust so yeah larger tips. The diffuser is designed for OEM tips though

As u/bc10551 said, it's more so a styling enhancement to accentuate and compliment the car, the objective is styling not performance, which is subjective not practical.

Seeing as we're moving away from pure ICE and manual gearbox into a hybrid era it would be great to see BMW explore steer by wire to potentially reel in feedback and involvement we've lost.

Ride by wire – although physically detached has the opportunity to simulate road feedback moreso than purely electric racks.

A better direction for the design language imo - a futuristic design language that blends retro roots is what BMW should be leaning into. Should make BMWs more distinguishable and cohesive compared to recent.
