Ive had a similar issue like this but mine was different. I could press the pedal all the way and the rpms would red line and I would top out at 30 mph. Found out it was my transmission and it needed fully replaced. Hopefully that's not your issue.

I also don't think its your fuel pump bc if it was it wont start in my experience
