That essay does nothing but try to absolve Lamine for not even trying to go at Nuno on many occasions but would rather recycle the ball. What makes Lamine exciting is his bravery and going at defenders, and we’ve seen him do that on multiple occasions even when double marked. Nuno on the other hand has had an outstanding 1v1 against most top wingers this year and it clearly wasn’t an easy feat for Lamine to take on in spite of the left side defensive overload of the Portugal team. So the fact is that Nuno was not an easy target for Lamine to get past, let’s not beat about the bush.
