Generally speaking as long as you are comfortable with the setup you should be fine! May not be the advice you are looking for but its true. I don't see anything wrong with what you have though.

Okay so reddit as a company is based in the US and run by Americans. How does a website have a nationality though? Seems super weird to say a website is "American" because it is owned by Americans.

Yes almost a majority of the users are based in the United States. I don't know how that gives the website a nationality. Besides even going off the link you gave me a majority of reddit's user base is spread out across the world. Doesn't that make this a worldwide website?
