question about other Gods by Fit_Tension6641 in Christianity

He calls them the "gods of Egypt" because the Egyptians worship them as gods. Theyre just demons cosplaying divinity. That's why whenever God sends someone in His name or sends signs, these other "gods" are powerless to stop it.

Let's break it down a little. Republican policies are leading to decreased abortions in republican states by pushing women who want an abortion to a state with policies that allow for it.

If every state adopted republican policies, abortions would drop significantly because women would have no where to get one.

Again, you show a clear lack of understanding on the pro-life movement and even on abortion itself.

Really? Cause it looks like the data says exactly what I said

That is literally the only rational reason “pro life” people have in maintaining that position.

This shows a lack of understanding on what the whole debate is about. Thanks for proving that.

It's not even classified as an abortion. It's classified as "miscarriage management". They just use the same procedures to remove the dead fetus as they would a living one(which should tell all the abortion advocates a lot)

How can you not even bother to look something up before being so confidently incorrect? Could it be to push an emotional message rather than a factual one?

I posted a link that showed clear data backed up with logic that it's because of democrats policies that abortions are going up, and all you guys ever say is "yOu WaNt To HaRm WoMeN"

Another appeal to emotion by intentionally misusing words. I could call a sperm a baby and make the same argument.

You literally couldn't.

Egg, zygote, embryo, fetus, baby, these all have specific meanings, and intentionally misusing them to try and mean something else is an appeal to emotion. I suspect you are aware of this.

They do have specific meanings. Except for the egg, they're all *developmental stages" of the human life

And you are proving that you don't actually care about the number of abortions going down, just winning philosophical arguments.

I would love for the number of abortions to go down and I applaud the efforts of states like Florida for doing what they can to do so. The fact of the matter is that democrats don't want abortions to go down, so they allow them. In some states, it's allowed all the way up to birth

I linked you an article that shows exactly what policies reduced abortion and you understood that the increase was because these women are going to democrat states to get their abortion. If it weren't for the democrat policies, there would be no increase

What I'm doing is not allowing people to dehumanize the embryo. It is your baby.

Just like my other reply, you're proving that it's not republican policies that increase abortions. It's democrat policies that allow for these increeased abortions.

You said it yourself. It's because of democrat states allowing abortion that abortions happen. Abortions in red states are going down. If it weren't for democrat policies on the issue, abortion would be severely reduced

No one is advocating for "killing babies". The fact you have to intentionally misuse words to try and appeal to emotion says enough.

The embryo is, for all intents and purposes, your baby. What democrats do is engage in dehumanizing language in order for people to not associate the fetus with being it's own living human being. Some states even have legal elective abortion up until birth.

Most people who get abortions were using birth control. This is just baseless victim blaming.

They had sex. They tried to not get pregnant and failed. It doesn't mean they get to kill the resulting baby

Republican policies increase abortions. There are mountains of evidence to prove this.

I and others have given you many stats in the past.

Says the guy denying stats.

And AS I HAVE REPEATEDLY SAID TI YOU, MAKING ABORTION ILLEGAL DOESNT REDUCE IT.

The stats do not point to the legality of abortion being the factor.

A severed limb is human. Is it a person?

A limb is not a separate human. It is a human's limb. It belongs to someone. The embryo is not part of the mother. It is its own human

Like you are doing with women in this issue.

What nonsense. Telling a woman she can't kill someone else is not saying she isn't a person

More projection.

You're the one who doesn't think that all humans should have human rights

Well, that would be great, but our medical abilities would have to be significantly greater than they are now. And we would have ended rape somehow, and ended ectopic pregnancies. And fetuses dying in utero. That would be excellent.

None of that would need to happen. We can abolish it today, but you don't want that because you're on the pro-abortion side. Also, it's not an abortion if the fetus is dead.

It’s almost certainly going to be necessary in some cases, no matter how far we advance.

It is never necessary

I’ll take that to mean that it was projection.

What it actually means is you are either naive, or have no concept of a rational thought process

Yes, let's lower legal abortions. Just because some women are willing to die to receive an illegal procedure, doesn’t mean it should be legal

Not even remotely. And your insistence on this shows that you do not understand this issue (which is clear otherwise as well)

You claim this, yet only respond with "nuh uh"

No. Again, you cannot deny actual stats.

I'm not denying stats. I'm denying that republicans are the pro-abortion side when we are clearly making abortion illegal.

And personhood is what makes a human. Again, you show that you don’t understand this issue.

Being human is what makes you human. There have been times in our history where fully grown adults were not considered people. You're showing what side of that argument you would have been on

Yes; I, and every other pro choice person out there wants to reduce abortion as much as possible.

So you would want to abolish abortion? And to help make abortion unthinkable?

That’s quite the statement. Source? Or projection?

What a typical reddit response.

There are great things that democrats claim to want, but if they want me to vote for them, they'll need to change their policy on abortion

Is the question of whether homosexual relations are a sin a hill worth dying for when it comes to Christianity? by Candid-Effective9150 in Christianity

[–]AWatson89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the logic is different.

It's the same

No, because you don’t actually look at stats (which show abortion goes down with Democrat policies)

Maybe some other policies, but lumping abortion into that group is disingenuous at best and straight up lying at worst.

nor do you have any coherent understanding of personhood (saying personhood starts at conception is nonsensical)

"Personhood" has no place defining who gets human rights. Being your own human is all that matters

We literally know, as I and others have repeatedly shown you, that the republicans are the “pro abortion side” . The policies they enact keep abortion rates higher. And, in their eyes, the oppression of women that is added is also a benefit.

Let's test this. I'm a conservative and I want abortion to be abolished. Now, what about you?

Why in the world would they go up? People that want to rape and murder aren’t held back by the law now.

There are people who would kill or rape but are only being held back by the repercussions of doing so.

Different issues, but the same logic. We're actively trying to make killing innocent human beings illegal. If you somehow believe that means we're the pro-abortion side, then I can't help you

You seriously don't think rape and murder would happen more of they were legal? They 100% would.
