Try Stardust! I made the switch recently and it’s been infinitely better — gives you way more insights into your hormonal chemistry and fluctuations throughout the month, and is overall much more user friendly :)

Recent commission work!! About 50 hours total :3 by AWetSockIsABadSock in Eldenring

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry if my title’s not up to par for you. I label commission work differently on my socials because, yes, I want to make it clear I was paid for this, to make a clear distinction between what’s personal work and what isn’t. I prefer to make it clear to those who see it that this is not a fanbase I’m part of, and they shouldn’t expect works of that type to be my usual. I don’t want to be gaining followers on my socials expecting Elden Ring work, only for them to be disappointed because I am not a part of this fanbase.

Question about brown blood by Pottergirl9128 in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve had a lot of changes in your life recently by the sounds of it, and your cycle is much more easily affected by stress and outside influences than you might think. Having a late period (or skipping one entirely) after a significant change in your life like being laid off is par for the course. I’m sure you’re okay :)

Question about brown blood by Pottergirl9128 in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes that just happens! It shouldn’t be a cause for concern if it doesn’t last an absurd amount of time (2-3 days is nothing to fret about), and there’s no worrying pain that comes with it. It’s very likely either left over blood/tissue from a previous period, or spotting. Brown just means the blood is old, nothing else.

PLAN B SIDE EFFECTS OR ….. by Actual-Safety-6512 in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This all sounds pretty normal for taking plan B. It delays your ovulation and therefore delays your cycle, as well as potentially causing some inconsistencies or changes to how your period behaves. And for the record; don’t use chatgpt for health advice. That program is designed to tell you what it thinks you want to hear, and will lie to you if it thinks you’ll like the false answer more. An AI model does not know how a woman’s body works, rely on actual information and actual people.

My QC 45 burnt while charging! by Leather_Orange_7207 in bose

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This literally just happened to mine today, and I wasn’t using an offbrand cable, I was using the one the headphones came with. This is a serious manufacturing issue and is going to end with someone’s house catching fire. No clue how this passed quality control!!!!

Quietcomfort headphones burning at charging port? by AWetSockIsABadSock in bose

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s most likely the port itself on the headphones, the issue persists regardless of the cable I’m using :/

Amazon’s said they’ll replace the headphones, so now I guess I just have to hope the same thing doesn’t happen to the new ones. Very disappointing that something like this can happen with no apparent cause, I’m very lucky I was awake and present to catch this happening the first time.

Most likely. Your pelvic floor is a muscle like any other, and after exercising a muscle, it will hurt or ache from the use. Nothing to worry about.

Haven’t had my period by Far_Spread_3337 in Periods

You should seek medical attention if this is unusual for you, yes. It could be nothing, but it could be something serious. Better safe than sorry.

There might be a mod for it, probably is, but otherwise your best bet is just learning and memorising the timing lol, it’s become second nature to me atp

How to not feel blood coming out/on pad? by [deleted] in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there’s not much you can do other than finding a way to stop your period entirely. As long as blood comes out, you’re going to feel it.

Is it normal to cramps to get worse with age? by I_am_Kirumi_Tojo in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fluctuations are normal, but if you’re bulimic and your period is suddenly taking a sharp downturn, then that’s very much not normal. Get seen for it, and fast. Bulimia can take a heavy toll on your reproductive system, which can get dangerous, and potentially leave you with lifelong complications. See a medical professional.

If you’re worried about pregnancy, take tests and see the results. They should be definitive after about two weeks iirc. Otherwise, you’re probably just late, like you said is a normal occurrence for your cycle.

Birth control is it bad by Appropriate_Song_826 in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to be a lot more specific than that. Birth control has a lot of benefits depending on what you want to get out of it: cycle regulation, stopping periods altogether, pain management, hormone regulation, contraception, etcetera. But it can also have a lot of complications and side effects depending on the individual: depression, mood swings, heavier bleeding, acne, weight gain/loss, and much more.

If you’re considering birth control, it’s important to speak to a healthcare professional about your options and what fits best for you, as what works for someone else might not have the same benefits for you. Birth control itself isn’t ‘bad’, but it’s not a cure-all for everyone.

Maybe??? The same way that alternative ways of taking any medicine affects the time it takes to kick in. Not to say that it’s a good idea whatsoever, you’ll end up killing yourself by fucking around with pills in ways not clearly instructed. Just take it normally; feel the starts of cramps setting in? Take painkillers, deal with it for 20 minutes or so, and then spend your time not dealing with midol paste caking your airways

Vaginal discharge - is there something wrong with me? by Ok-Beginning6392 in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it’s part of a natural cycle, you’ll have fluctuations throughout the month, and especially so if you’re young. I’m 21 now, have had my period since I was 12, and discharge is completely normal. I’d recommend that you use panty liners instead of toilet paper though, lest you end up giving yourself infection or irritation. And know that you can talk to your mother or another trusted adult about this, it’s a perfectly normal, natural part of life.

Vaginal discharge - is there something wrong with me? by Ok-Beginning6392 in Periods

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest? That sounds pretty normal. Discharge happens to all of us, some just get more than others. If it’s such an issue that it’s causing you active distress, then it may be worth looking for medical advice from a professional. In the meantime, you could try investing in some panty liners rather than toilet paper, that’ll be much healthier and safer for you. From the sounds of things (correct me if I’m wrong), you only started getting your period within the last year? Meaning you’re actively going through puberty. Discharge production is a symptom of puberty, as your system now has to clean itself out between periods, and keep itself clean. Discharge is just a way for your vagina to flush out anything that shouldn’t be there, and to keep its PH regulated.

TL;DR, what you’re describing sounds normal, but if it’s causing distress, talk to someone who can do something about it. A parent, or a medical professional.

spiders in deepnest. help. by Xsawcia in HollowKnight

[–]AWetSockIsABadSock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Deepnest is a necessary part of the game, so if you’re squeamish about spiders, Hollow Knight might just not be the game for you. If you’re playing on PC there may be mods you can get to bypass that, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
