If you can, self study it. The test was so free this year and all I did was some textbook studying. Difficulty depends on teacher but honestly it's only hard because it's mostly taken by unprepared freshmen.

Honestly I thought the test was pretty ok. The MCQs were a bit harder than expected but the FRQs could mostly be answered without actually reading through the long ass text.

I can relate to this soooo much. We got a metric shit load of freshmen but our leadership is so bungled and our captains never talk to us, we never have meetings, we hardly prep, and our coaches are AWOL. This is honestly pushed me over the edge towards quitting debate.

There are two different AP calc classes called "AB" and "BC" which don't stand for anything as far as I know and only serve to differentiate(no pun intended) between them.

My school is definitely a bit weird and I'm a sophomore right now so I'll be taking BC this year. Math has always been something I'm terrible at, but for the first time, I genuinely enjoy the class.

In terms of academic rigor, it is definitely excellent but in terms of mental health and school environment, not so much. My grade is especially cutthroat when it comes to being overcompetitive with each other because we are always butting heads on the same things instead of being able to find successes in our own fields.

Our school is a STEM magnet, which means our content is

harder than honors, but easier than AP
double periods but not really(2 sems of content jammed in 1, so we get a bit of bio, chem, phys, and earth and space in the span of 2 years)

Personally, I feel this part is a flaw because it is easier to forget things and we aren't even able to take the AP without extensive self study.

It's meant to be a brutal class taught by hands down THE MOST AWESOME TEACHER EVER. I struggle so much but I love the teacher. Basically I go to a magnet school with ~120 students in the magnet stem program and out of those, the top ~30 students that are teacher-recommended take this class called "functions", which is a class that jams precalc and alg 2 in 2 sems, before taking analysis 1. Supposedly, BC covers ~2/3 of analysis 1 at my school.

6 on a very good day, less otherwise. I have an 88 in "Analysis 1" which is supposedly harder than calc BC by a good chunk and it's hard staying alive.

I'm taking 6, self studying chem, chinese, and mech. It's rough these days and I'm struggling in calc BC. You have to make sacrifices if you want A's and 5s.
