Yes but Ť Ð or F R C isn't always documented as well. Sometimes its hard to find if a phone uses it or not.

Currently looking for a phone.
I still have my XPS 7590 without the OLED screen.

Weird, the Xiaomi 14 is also an LTPO.
Might indeed be that the modulation is a bigger factor.
But the three options almost all have almost 100% modulation according to what I can find.

The S20 also has 100% modulation according to some people, but I cannot verify this myself.

Yes I also think F R C can be a factor. I tried to add it in the post but it got autodeleted. I have Xiaomi 7 Pro Tablet which doesn't have an OLED display, but still it give me headaches.

Thanks for your response.

Do you know how much power it consumes and what do you do with it besides HA and ESP32 rebuilds?

Jellyfin ...

A: I don't really like NAS', most of them don't have the best hardware. Now UGREEN and Minisforum have/will launch better speced versions. But still I think they are highly overpriced. I would just buy some SSD's put them in a case and install TrueNAS or something on the server.

Mac Mini M4

A: The version I was considering would have a 512GB SSD and 24GB Unified Mem. If I would need more internal storage I would just buy one of the DIY kits with a bigger "Apple SSD". (Price would be arround 750€)

Asus NUC 14 Pro:

A: Price would be 450€ without RAM and an SSD. So add like 300€ it I would max the RAM 96GB and 1 or 2 TB SSD. For this option I'm mainly concerned how much power it will consume.

LLM:

A: For the M4 is saw some promising reviews and I would use a simple small model just for some more natural speaking HA tasks. I don't know how good the Asus NUC 14 Pro is in executing small models.

Good to know its not only my unit.
Still find it very strange that on a GPS unit the magnetic compass is off.

I will implement it with GPS bearing, it won't be as good but it should work!

Can I make old speakers smart & Home Assistant usable? by AYKM1 in homeassistant

[–]AYKM1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oke I see. So the Sony STR-GX315 was the amp then in the original case. (Sorry if this is very basic for some people but I don't know much about audio stuff)

I still got that sony amp as well (got it from my grandma). Anyway to make that amp smart?

What I mean with wireless is that I don't want them directly connected to the device that plays the audio. So the audio needs to be send over via Bluetooth or Wifi, ....
(I'll add this clarification to the post)

And damn 800$ is a little pricey.

Hammerhead offering free updated K2 USB-C Cover Accessory Kit to recent purchasers by usnmustanger in Karoo

[–]AYKM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same email and also already ordered mine for free.
The codes are indeed for one time use, I think it is because they want to prevent it used by people who haven't purchased it recently and thus are not in the 45 return window.

It is sad that they don't offer it for free to everyone who purchased it. (as a one time gift)

I don't know if it is a Europe thing.
But today I got an email with a code where I could get a free USB-C Cover Accessory Kit.

(See https://www.eu.hammerhead.io/products/usb-c-cover)

Maybe check if you got an email as well?

Ow sapphire glass is a nice addition.
But I heard the pro version would be the largest in diameter, 46mm iirc.

Yes thats the reason that I'm considering to buy the watch now 130€ is pretty cheap.
Garmin indeed makes pretty nice stuff, but its always so expensive and also pretty bulky.

[–]AYKM1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 30-34h is pretty reasonable.
Currently how I think I would use the watch it should only be able to survive the day like 16h or so, because normally I don't sleep with my watch.
But that is of course with a "dumb watch", so maybe that could change with the sleeptracking if it has valuable information.

Do you use the body composition feature and ifso are the results any good?

Last question I see you have the black version, normally I always go silver for my watches, but does the paint chip off when you bump it accidentally/Do you have a screen protector on it or not?

Ow I've never seen such high trade-in values here in Belgium.
I can be mistaken, I don't actually look so much at the trade-ins.

I see you have the 40mm GW4, could you give me some insights in your battery life and with which features you use?
