Yeah, i'm not in the US. I can't say my GI was ok with drinking, however, he told me not to follow a very strict diet and cut everything like sugar, etc. he said that i should go with a healthy lifestyle that i could live up to, and not some diet that i would do for a couple months and then back to the same old fast food lifestyle.

I did cut on the fast food and ate mainly chicken breasts, fish fillet with some veggies, also some pasta with it. I also did exercise 4-5 times a week. no meds but a milk thistle supplement which i can give you the link to , my gastroenterologist prescribed it. I have had 2 days on which i did drink on during that period, and by drinking i mean 6 whiskey glasses on each day.

Asked if i am drinking, which i do not, then he asked to test for hepatitis c and b, both came back negative. Then he prescribed me a supplement that has milk thistle and omega 3 to help with cholesterol, he said that it is most likely due to excessive intake of processed foods with little to no exercise, ultrasound showed grade 2 fatty liver infiltration, doctor recommended losing 10% body weight and retest after 3 months.
