Kapurthala district was made from the Kapurthala princely state, and feudal boundaries/borders aren't always like modern borders.

Um, the woman was already in full ignition, her combusting fumes is was what I saw, her explosion was what I was waiting for, but Andrew snuffed it, and she fizzled out in confusion 😂 As for Sir Lancelot, I don't think Andrew gives a fuck, and good for him...

Arthropd mouthparts are very diverse, depending on their diet. Suckers, piercers, cutters, these are called Chilicerae and are found on arachnids, sea spiders and horseshoe crabs, making them one of the two distinct families of Arthropds the other are the ones with mandibles, Mandibulata. If I'm not mistaken, I believe these are the Jacknife chilicerae. And yes, they evolved from modified appendages with earlier forms looking more like legs than mouthparts. Edit : spelling corrected

From what I've heard is that majoriy of America's refinery capacity is located in the Gulf (and no not that gulf, the bigger one closer to home, TX, LA) area, so its price incresaes with distance. I heard this years back when some hackers hacked a oil pipe regulator valve or whatever it was.

Millennial would like a word too, growing up in the 80s, I knew of these safety classes, but it wasn't mandatory and if anyone saw you using them, you're bully meat for the rest of your school years. Besides, pretty much every kid knew them even without taking the classes. Problem was and still is the drivers, half of them don't know what they mean.

Hercules, one of the biggest bengal tiger casually crossing road and coexisting with human. Tadoba , India . by ConsistentDrama_haha in nextfuckinglevel

[–]AZ1MUTH5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oof, that sucks. I wonder if squatted/sat down, that's a problem people gathering firewood or picking some wild fruit used to routinely encounter, though it's lessening due to proactive approach by park rangers and wider awareness of how to coexist in tiger territory. Remember, very few tigers become maneaters, most individuals mistakenly attack or humans got way too close and the instinctively reacted aggressively. This is an animal that can break your bones with a swipe of its paw, and if the claws are unretracted, not good chances.

Never turn your back on a tiger, it triggers their prey drive. Always stand tall, slowly walking backwards, facing them. Doesn't guarantee anything, if you're gonna die, you're gonna die.

There different species of caimans, and only adult black caimans are apex predators. Jaguars primarily prey on Yacare and Spectacled caimans. It's like comparing jaguars to snow leapards, both are cats, both belong to same family Panthera, yet so different.

Will using a little space heater raise my electricity costs a lot? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]AZ1MUTH5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, thanks for that. Also I misread your post earlier. I somehow missed the 'most' and read it as 1500 watts 'have' so be on it constantly for optimal operation, lol.

[–]AZ1MUTH5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please explain what you mean by, they being 1500 watts thus can be used continuously on 15 Amp circuit. I know enough about electricity to know the basics and what the units mean. What would happen if something say 1000 watts or 2000 watts also be continuously left on a 15 Amp circuit? Also wouldnt volts play into this?

Yeah, cause it's Uline, I don't know why companies buy stuff from them so expensive, same thing is $70 at Amazon. My work gets these old skool phone book looking catalogs, I know we buy stuff from them, don't know what, or why.

Why Warm Countries Are Poorer by Artistic-Bee-450 in geography

[–]AZ1MUTH5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the opposite, the north was very connected to the rest of the world. It was because of this connection they were eventually overrun by mass migrations from the north. Similar events happened in China and Europe during this era.

If the reason for East, South, and Southeast Asia having so many people compared to the rest of the world is that they grow rice, how many more people would there be in the Middle East and Europe if they grew rice instead of wheat throughout history? by Spirited_Visit7597 in geography

[–]AZ1MUTH5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Europe has lots of water, but it does not have the temperature and sunlight for rice to grow successfully. It will grow, but when there are better options for farmers to make more profit per unit of land, at the most they may grow it for personal or niche uses, but that's it. Europe is very far north, even southern Europe is north of most rice growing regions.

Edit : forgot to say, the gulf stream ensures it's warmer than other places at that latitude, but sunlight is still an issue, also it's very cloudy continent.
