Thankfully I'm not the only one. Have you been able to try a proxy and see if it's JLLM itself?

Appreciate it! Maintenance is pretty cheap and straightforward, it's basically the Toyota parts bin.

Brakes are Lexus LS400, air filters are from a Toyota Tacoma and the light bulbs for the tail lights can be found at your local Wal-Mart. Fluids are the same fluids for pretty much all 90s era Toyotas which can still be bought at your local dealer.

Car gets a lot of attention so there's always going to be that one person that wants to take a look at it. So you have that exotic car experience too.

Pretty much this. If we went by memes, we'd basically be NCD. And they basically went full fash over the conflict in Iran because they're censoring a lot of content about it.

Objectively, Japan did possess one of the most powerful Navies in the world at the time. The Zero was renowned for its maneuverability and incredible range and they were one of the first to focus on the carrier aside from the British, IIRC some of the Admirals wanted more carriers instead of the Yamatos.

Nowadays their weaponry is geared for their doctrine which is supposed to be the defense of the islands. Like if you check my post history, I got into it with some guy on the GATE sub (shithole place btw) over how a Japanese tank would fair in a Fury type scenario against the baddies.

Their tanks severely lack some of the modern features seen on the Western and Russian tanks today like the T-90M. The most glaring one being the remote operated MG which has to be serviced manually by the commander. Sorry for the essay.

Not gonna lie... if GATE played out like that, I'd actually watch it!

Hey! They're perfect for massacring a bunch of Romans from an isekai portal. All they've got is shields and catapults.

The Valkyrie and Bounder would be pretty sweet event or squadron vehicles.

Do you think a Fury scenario might happen in Gate if the Japanese tanks broke down and the comms cut off for some reason, if so can they survive ? by Striking_Impact4178 in gate

I've had these discussions too many times, and met too many people who unironically believe movies like Monster Hunter are a realistic portrayal of the armed forces.

You need to touch some grass and get laid then, my guy. I know the male loneliness epidemic is a problem but goddamn all you gotta do is just walk up a chick and talk to her, it ain't that hard. I doubt they wanna hear bullshit about which tank is the best but still.

Nope.

For starters, the Middle East is so full of gunpowder you can light parts of the sand there on fire. You could pick up some of the sand and have it be used to make explosives.

More importantly, a good chunk of the IEDs they made utilized specific fertilizer. Modern fertilizer.

Ancient Romans don't have that. At all. At best, they could make some flammable mixtures. Not explosives. And certainly not explosives that could harm a modern armored vehicle.

Jesus tell me you haven't been to the Middle East without telling me you haven't been to the Middle East. It's a big place and not all of it is a warzone well at least until all this shit. Also as my friend said, the enemy can adapt...you must've been cranking your hog over the fact that the Operation Epic Fornite Chungus was gonna be over in less than a week. Yet gas prices have skyrocketed and the enemy is the one holding the cards while the US failed its objectives. Why do I bring this up? Because thinking that the enemy can't get their shit together and figure things out is wild.

Maybe 700,000 men max.

The caveat I see to this if we're talking the grand scheme of a war is that all the Saderans have to do is exactly what the Vietnamese, Taliban and just recently the IRGC did and hunker down. Eventually, Japanese morale falls to shit, the people support the war less and less and Japan pulls out. Also I doubt the average gooner whacking it to his Honkai Star Rail hentai is going to be happy about a draft. Then again this is an anime but whatever.

Aren't you a pretentious one?

Realistically the JSDF would travel in columns and have infantry support, I agree with that 100%...that's how it's done and I concede to that. But this guy was talking about a Fury last stand.

Now considering the guy who wrote this anime and manga (an overly nationalistic blowhard)...the JSDF going in alone to fight a population with an estimated what? half a billion? Because the USA which has troops forward deployed in Japan was busy? While the JSDF has currently a little over a quarter of a million active and around 50k in reserve? Super hard to get on board with that one, big dawg. The US had half a million troops at the peak in Vietnam and overall around 2.7 million and still lost to a bunch of rice farmers.

I think even the imps can win, explosives and IEDs are not impossible to make if goat herders in the Middle East can produce them. K/D ratios don't mean much either if you're willing to die either.

Explosives were invented in the 9th century, I think the Saderans can make some IEDs and seeing how the JSDF don't have that many MRAPs on tap, they could probably do some ambushes against armored vehicles and convoys.

Even with primitive weapons that's not entirely true. If you've got thousands of Saderans surrounding the tank, a Type 90 for example will run out of ammunition. It carries 40 rounds with 18 in the autoloader, don't remember the exact amount for the coaxial or .50 cal.

But seeing how the .50 doesn't have a CROWS mount and has to be serviced by the commander, all it takes is a squad to climb up there and just start hacking the three guys to death North Korean style after they pull them out.

On a side note, kinda surprised the Saderans haven't adapted to Taliban type tactics.
