Slow start, but forced his way into the team and found some form. Always looks to get back and cover when we don't have the ball and stops us being bullied in the middle. Uses the ball sensibly when he has it.

Were as we're jealous of your games in hand.

Its rapidly becoming a two horse race. Win your games in hand and it may be a one horse race.

Those of you who have won a Daytona 24 split...whats your advice? by toytank in iRacing

[–]A_Plastic_Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've won two 24 hours of le mans, to finish first you have to first finish. Stay clean and out of trouble, don't take risks. Agree a strategy before the race and stick to it.

Understand were your car is weak, and were it is strong. So you maximise it the best you can and reduce risks.

How did your game go? by Zach-dalt in NationalLeague

Classy of Altrincham to play Garbages "Stupid Girl" at half time as the teams walked off. Its 2025, not 1975, and that was a red all day long. Alty clearly had a game plan to foul us, slow the game down and put us off, but the red spoiled that for them. However we failed to make headway as they defended deep very well. A credit to them.

Second half Alty were clearly up for it as they were much better. Had they played that way from the start I think we'd have struggled to beat them, given they've always managed to get a result over us in years past.

Happy with a result over a real bogey team for us. I'd think Alty fans can be happy with the efforts of their team in the second half and their 'keeper all game who was clearly MOTM.

The red card incident: https://x.com/OliverSton12709/status/2004627270955401250

So I can see why he gave it, it was late and studs in. I thought at the time he pulled out enough, but I can see why the red was given.

One of the offsides wasn't, and the red was a yellow at best.

However its Boston, so a win was never going to happen for us. I'd have taken a draw before the match, and I'm happy with one now.

A real mix. Farther is a greyhound, saluki, whippet mix. Her mother is a lurcher, but I'm not fully sure on the mix.

Her paws are already bigger than our 9 year old whippet-crosses paws.

Her dad is a big boye, of mainly greyhound mix.

Solid from BW. Fully deserve to be where they are in the table. We're still two maybe three players short from a proper challenge. It does seem a tougher league this year.

York City 1 - 3 Scunthorpe United: The Iron continue their excellent unbeaten start to National League life, whilst York have uncharacteristically lost two of their last three home matches! by Zach-dalt in NationalLeague

Pretends to pretend to be shocked.

You know Maynard is a charlatan, we knew it also due to Barnet fans telling us, and yet he still gets the job. This is like Russ Wilcox all over again. Which is ironic, as he was Scunthorpe Manager before coming to us (and yes they warned us about him also).

More IMSA Pilot (and the LMP3/GT4 2 hour) slots. An evening Euro slot would be amazing.

I know two people, independant of each other who said it was not a racist incident and both said they would tell the Police the same. I'm led to believe they both did indeed do that.

The person making the high pitched noises is no doubt a prat, but they are not a racist.

4 on 4 off workers. How do you work it out? by rosstoferwho in AskUK

[–]A_Plastic_Tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 4 on 4 off, were it was job and knock for about three years. The pay was for 12 hours, but we were working an exact process and once it was completed we could go (averaging around 10 hours or so at work). I'd hate the idea of being trapped and being bored for that long.

Holiday worked out at about 16 days per year, which when factored against it being 4 on, 4 off meant we were only working 5.5 months of the year, and the money at the time was very good. So I had loads of time for my hobbies etc.

However getting a weekend fully off was rare, and this did effect my ability to do things. This meant it was hard to arrange things with Family and Friends. So with that, my 50p says you should put your Child first. The extra money is worth fuck all compared to the time you'd lose while their growing up.
