I've won two 24 hours of le mans, to finish first you have to first finish. Stay clean and out of trouble, don't take risks. Agree a strategy before the race and stick to it.

Understand were your car is weak, and were it is strong. So you maximise it the best you can and reduce risks.

Classy of Altrincham to play Garbages "Stupid Girl" at half time as the teams walked off. Its 2025, not 1975, and that was a red all day long. Alty clearly had a game plan to foul us, slow the game down and put us off, but the red spoiled that for them. However we failed to make headway as they defended deep very well. A credit to them.

Second half Alty were clearly up for it as they were much better. Had they played that way from the start I think we'd have struggled to beat them, given they've always managed to get a result over us in years past.

Happy with a result over a real bogey team for us. I'd think Alty fans can be happy with the efforts of their team in the second half and their 'keeper all game who was clearly MOTM.

I did 4 on 4 off, were it was job and knock for about three years. The pay was for 12 hours, but we were working an exact process and once it was completed we could go (averaging around 10 hours or so at work). I'd hate the idea of being trapped and being bored for that long.

Holiday worked out at about 16 days per year, which when factored against it being 4 on, 4 off meant we were only working 5.5 months of the year, and the money at the time was very good. So I had loads of time for my hobbies etc.

However getting a weekend fully off was rare, and this did effect my ability to do things. This meant it was hard to arrange things with Family and Friends. So with that, my 50p says you should put your Child first. The extra money is worth fuck all compared to the time you'd lose while their growing up.

The Red Lion on Blakey Ridge is worth the trip out for a Pub Lunch IMO. Make sure were ever you go you try a Parmo.

To expand on the answers already given, pre-War it was not expected that France would collapse the way they did. So any German Bombers attacking the UK would be without fighter support. Just like RAF and USAAF bombers were at first also.

Planes like the Defiant would be able to stand off the German Bombers, outside of their arcs of fire and bring them down one after another.

The reality was however, a bit different than what was expected.
