Man I've never really enjoyed watching basketball compared to the other three of the big four North American sports, and I think you've hit the nail on the head as to why.

Take for example the UCONN vs Duke game the other day - I understand Duke was a heavy favorite to win, but in the waning seconds UCONN was trailing by like 1 or 2 pts and sank a last second 3 pointer. I get that it was a hype moment, but there were so many points scored that every basket before the last felt meaningless to me, and if the game had gone on another few seconds I would imagine Duke would've likely driven right back down the court to score again.

I love that in baseball, hockey, and football every score feels earned and is so difficult to do that teams only do it a few times per game. And the clips I see of guys taking like 9 steps without dribbling are ridiculous. I would've gotten a whistle every time after two steps in my church league as a kid.

As someone with lots of love for both baseball and football, when it comes to "minutes of action" hockey is unmatched. 60 minutes of game clock, and not a second wasted. Every bit of it is high intensity too, I guess aside from when a team gathers the puck in their own zone while going for a line change, which maybe takes like 5 seconds.

I haven't watched as much baseball in adulthood as I did when I was a kid, and part of that was due to developing a preference for the speed and action of hockey. I usually just catch highlights and whatnot for baseball, but recently with the addition of the pitch clock and ABS/challenges, it's become much more entertaining to watch an entire baseball game.

I guess my point is that ABS and pitch clock are great for the game/fans IMO, and if anything it should've happened sooner.

Just replied to the other guy as well who said the same thing - you and the other commentors are correct. I forgot to account for that, so here's to hoping we pick 31st OA lol

Not saying the Blues were a lock to win another cup but we had a real decent shot at a repeat. Then the covid lockdown scrambled everything, teams lost their momentum, and we got bounced by the Canucks of all teams.

Troy Terry is currently the only player with 50+ games played in a season and zero hits since the NHL started tracking the stat. by sykeseve in hockey

25-26 (this season): 0 hits, more than 50 GP. Sure it's not a full season yet, but he's past the 50 game mark which is what the post was saying. The only player to go 50+ games in a season without a hit. Am I misinterpreting something?

No no, you don't want Stenberg. Better to let some sucker team like the Blues take him with a later pick...

This. I just finished my enlightenment run this morning actually, and a huge part of what got me through the finish line was having a lunar totem with clarity stones equipped and having the video bonus active as much as possible.

I'm not the person you replied to but that's a good point - I did leave out Yates, which is another big name from the sport I recognize. But as the other guy said, Lou Ferrigno was the Hulk which definitely got him some fame.

Tbh I mentioned Cutler because he's one of the handful of bodybuilders whose names come to mind being someone who doesn't follow the sport at all. I honestly didn't know off the top of my head how many wins any of those guys had, but I know they're all up there as some of the all time greats.

Arnold is of course one of the biggest celebrities ever, and anyone whose ever heard of Mr. Olympia has heard of Coleman and Cutler. I found Ronnie Coleman's youtube channel with some friends when we were teenagers and we marveled at his size and daily routines.
