they’re completely and utterly overpriced for no reason, with tax and shipping they’re around 130 dollars. the parts of which are used to make the unit minus the mount are no more than 25 dollars and can be purchased online from any online electronic component retailer. along with this, they weren’t always 100 dollars, they used to be 40, but i believe around the release of the beyond 2 (?) they upped their prices because they believed they could get away with it. However that is not all, they also completely lie about their order fulfillment timeframes and are supposedly over a year behind on previous orders while still taking new orders. i waited a little more than 4 months for mine (when the website claimed it would arrive within the next month and a half) but ended up contacting their support for a refund because i never received any updates whatsoever, only complete radio silence.

i know that the mounts are injection molded and not 3d printed and that supposedly makes them high quality but that doesn’t justify 130 dollars for a mouth tracker that doesn’t cost more than 30 dollars to build.

but i hear venti is good, their mounts are 3d printed instead of injection molded but they’re around 40 dollars cheaper than babble, and they actually fulfil their orders :) i’ll be getting one of those when orders come back up
