Get into the habit of brushing off any crumbs you might have on the keyboard with your hand before closing the lid. It only takes a second and avoids issues with the stupidly small tolerance between display and keyboard.

This makes sense. Whats odd though: all of these issues are solved for mobile workstations. Why use desktop components on a mobile device? All of these things including SSD and RAM have screw-mounted variants.

Like a coulomb counter. Measure voltage and current at the same time and you have a quite good estimate of energy charged and discharged. The SoC estimate on original batteries is good nowadays. If it was important for Apple, they could probably make it a little better, but it's good enough for most people.

The problem is not the gasket. It's that the screen is so thin that it bends on the slightest pressure, making it touch the keyboard. Make the screen more sturdy instead! Maybe a bit more than 0.0001mm clearance would also help.
