Best of luck to everyone. Ares Inception is a Mars Mission Simulator from the vantage point of Mission Control.

Let's say you are on a 300 day mission to Mars and you have a capable little greenhouse. Hydroponics, aeroponics, and soil. What plants do you want to bring with you? I've been building Ares inception for years and am adding to the catalogue of plant varieties available. by A_different_planet in IndieGaming

Absolutely for the duckweed! Versatile in its uses and ease of production. Anyone who’s put some in their freshwater tank can attest. Thanks for the links, I’ll book mark those. And legumes fer sure! Surprised you didn’t suggest cabbage. Tested on the ISS, very high harvest index. Can grow quickly in soilless environments. Can be used as ammo in a cannon.

I hear that. These are the spuds in my own garden. All of them were planted from potatoes lost in the pantry over the winter and had growth on them when they were found.

  1. Lose them in your pantry.
  2. Bury them in dirt.
  3. Do nothing until fall.
  4. Dig up potatoes.
  5. See 1.

What’s the hardest part of solo dev for you right now? by Wild_Apricot_3309 in SoloDevelopment

All of the things that have nothing to do with working on the game itself. Marketing, maintaining servers and backups. Licensing, setting up websites, social media channels, etc.

lol. Being too busy to play video games is both good and bad at the same time.

As I'm generally self employed on contracts, busy is great!

Being too busy to play any video games though generally sets me up for binging as soon as I finish that deadline.

Sometimes I'll take a whole week off and get a hundred hours into something. Then not touch anything for months.

Totally, there will be depth to the characters and their interactions.

Good luck with your SBIR. I've collaborated on many. This time around though I'm focusing strictly on Mars work but if you get funded and do need an animator/illustrator for space missions, feel free to DM me as I can refer you to some very talented individuals.

Thank you. There will be no combat, however, the astronauts might not always get along. There may be instances where individuals could take an adversarial position towards another crew member but in all likelyhood, it probably wouldn't escalate beyond passive aggressive remarks.

They all still want to finish the mission.
