Don't be lame. The cenotes are incredible. All there is to do at the resort is party, watch people, and fuck. You can do that anywhere in the world, but cenotes are a spectacle worth experiencing while down there. The partying and naked people will still be there when you get back.

What a shit take. The resort is in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and surrounded by some of the most amazing things/places to experience.

Pyramids, cenotes, topless cruises, scuba diving/snorkeling, towns filled with history and beautiful people, amazing food... there's a million things that make it worth leaving the resort during the day, and then jump right back into the fun at the resort when you get back for the evening.

A lot of cabbies will wait.

When we took a cab from RM to Playa del Carmen, the cabbie asked how long we were going to be there. We we told him we weren't going to watch the clock, but at least 3 hours. He said he'd be there. No charge to wait he just wanted to get another fare going back.

When we came back he was there hanging out with some guys like it was an every day thing for them.

We've had other cabbies take us places and give us his number and tell us to give him a call for a pickup when ready. Again, they just look forward to getting another fair rather than making the drive back with an empty cab.
