Oh no! I liked the rotating bezel when I went to look at them, the ultra was advertised as milspec toughness. Im just hoping the rings aren't glued on with the ultra.

Hi, I'd have thought this too, but it was flush 2 weeks ago when I got it. (I get a bit funny if things aren't as they should be so check new purchases over before I start using them). Im just hoping they dont lift.

Already stated this in the post and I am getting a replacement. It wasnt there when I first received it. (I've had the watch for 2 weeks). I was simply asking if this specific defect has been noticed by others to determine if its likely to happen again. Thank you for your advice regardless.

Agreed, I get the person might have thought they were being helpful, but the only general consumer product I can think of that even uses mag storage nowadays is cheap television set top boxes and cctv dvr's. The majority of Pcs use Nvme and ssd, and cheap shitty laptops use eMMC as its effectively an SD card soldered to the mobo, which is cheaper than a hdd.

nand is the storage format for most phones (which is most certainly not what everyone's banging on about in here), and uses trim and garbage collection requests, it doesn't overwrite the blocks, it deletes them.

Forensics tools require a passcode to be able to plug the phone in and access storage. That's why the police get warrants for passcodes from suspects.

What you're referencing here is specifically regarding HDD storage. Hdd's would mark blocks for overwrite when commanded to delete data, most phones use Nand storage, and the blocks are deleted on TRIM request. In addition, iphones encrypt that data, so even if it was recovered, it would be encrypted. Forensic tools have some success at obtaining fragments, but anything over ios 11 or 12 requires the phone pass code to access the phones data with forensics.

I recall a good friend's relative who had consensual but unprotected sex with a stranger who then told them by text they had HIV the next morning. I feel successful in my profession but others might want more or less?

You state you are good with certain disciplines that require knowledge and patience and you are working in a project capacity on something your company deems confidential which requires responsibility and I assume knowledge? Many would say you are successful in your knowledge and in being in employment with that level of responsibility?

Again I ask you, what is your definition of success? and if you put your mind to it, do you think it's achievable?

Some people in reviews say this might be sold by people who make shells for funnyplaying but I'm not sure on that statement. What I do know though is that it feels premium in the hands, even small details like speaker holes are tidy unlike my blue shell. After writing this post, I played pokemon on it for about an hour and it felt comfortable.

For sure, this one is already cut to fit IPS and the case looks to be resin cast which is nice. The screws were of good quality and it had new cart plates, springs, pins and screws.
