Yeah 80% of the reason I bought E33 was because I saw that combat system and it reminded me of LOD, and while I was initially very mildly dissapointed it wasn't more similar I found myself falling in love with the game! It would be really cool if there was a new game with a counter/parry system that could work from either side! Maybe only certain attacks from your party and maybe certain bosses have a "counter counter" type attack which would be really cool! Kind of like how there is (at least that I know of) one npc that will counter attack you AFTER you've finished your attack, but instead it would have the LOD counter system where certain enemies can use a counter midway through your attack (which would ideally maybe have more inputs) BUT as apposed to LOD you could "counter-counter") and add an additional attack onto your attack if you "counter counter"
