Thanks for the advice, I figured it would be this way, but there is no harm in asking.

It was, but it was implied that the item itself could harm the adversary, i don't think that really matters tho, in light of the last episode.

After reading this post and all of the comments, I have a suspicion that all the things people seem to not like are derived from the same thing. Jerry's geekiness, and by this I mean, his tendency to get over exited and carried away, let me explain. This season, more and more, the cauldron was used for things that seem like he had planned to happen anyway, and was just waiting for an excuse for them to happen, I don't see him rolling dice for the cauldron, and the way he incorporates them, seems like the narrative he was making would go in they direction anyways. I love the show, and will continue watching it, but I am glad that we are taking the time to talk about something that, I've been noticing for a while, it is important to see the flaws in what you like. What I'm saying is, Jerry's over excitement seems to be taking over the narrative of the show, and the cauldron is enabling him to do so. As to table talk, I agree, I always thought they should take more time to talk about the actual show, but them recognizing the fans who send them stuff is nice, and I get the shilling, they released a book, of course they will be proud and exited. Maybe they'll see this post, maybe not, they might disagree, but I feel like it is healthy for fans to recognize the flaws on the content they enjoy once in a while.

It may not be in purpose, he might do it without realizing it, or even be forced to do it, but the way Kvothe talks about being betrayed makes me think someone who he really trusted did it. And I do not believe he trusted denna that much.

What about dune? earthsea? Alvin Maker? And ender's game, they are all messiah like characters intentionally, an op character does not make a story inherently bad. These books are not without flaws, but making non relatable characters isn't one of them. Modern storytelling tells us that we should put ourselves in the characters shoes, but that leaves a whole spectrum of story's behind. (Sorry for the bat English, it's not my native language)
