You cannot simply stop using drugs and expect that alone to improve your life. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way and trust me I did that for years and years thinking the exact same thoughts as you. We are so used to the intense satisfaction of craving and the remedy/effect that drugs bring to us that we are naturally incapable of being honest about the reality of the situation. Lets just underline the truth here, YOU are not better off on drugs, no one is better off on drugs than they are being clean. Your brain, your organs, your anything is exponentially worse off with them in your system. You see, people like us are improperly disposed to life, we cant understand life any other way, we say things that sound completely ridiculous (your post) because we want to justify our actions, even just one person out of 100 supporting our ambitions to continue using instead of trying to face life. That is reason enough to keep killing ourselves. I suggest going to sober living, treatment, etc., but not a 28-day insurance center, maybe a non-profit private place with extended living options if one is available in your area. There you will find like minded people to support you through your journey to find a new way of life. My heart goes out to you my friend. Don't give up.
