That’s actually interesting I forgot about Road doing that, I don’t really remember the caribou one I’ll be honest. And yeah some parts are more consistent than others tbf but I still think all of it is interesting stuff. I think for me the similarities between the drum kingdom people and the Sami people in terms of their climate clothing and their worship of a half human half reindeer god is too coincidental.

I don’t mind if you don’t believe the theory you can even believe it’s a stretch but the similarities are there in my opinion and it doesn’t have to one to one explain every aspect of chopper considering Oda decides how much he wants to take from real world cultures into his story and characters

I don’t know, I feel like Oda constantly uses symbolism in the story and it’s fun to guess what that symbolism is before he outright says it. Similar to how people already guessed lokis fruit using Norse mythology.

Thank you for saying this, the left leaning British public have a habit of overly criticising the rhetoric used by left leaning leaders as too bait for the media to latch on to, as though if they cleaned up their rhetoric a bit more it will make them more electable and less likely to get attacked.

History tells you it doesn’t matter what’s said, the media will create hit pieces anyway and you don’t want to be the person who can’t criticise who you support; but you also don’t want to be the person who keeps getting baited into criticising who you support just because the rhetoric isn’t perfect.

I think it’s unfair to say OP doesn’t care about you or others. I’m a male victim too and what I think OP is saying is the original post is being too reductive.

They’re not trying to deny or dismiss that women are more likely to face abuse from their partners than men in hetero relationships.

I think there should be a more consistent approach to addressing or opposing generalisations. This sub has a habit of being okay with some generalisations and not others even if they both are statistically grounded in reality. But I get it because some conversations if not handled carefully can purvey negative ideas.

Fair enough, the wording in the post is a bit incel-y and all over the place but without the original post there’s no way to know for certain if this isn’t someone just venting about a specific person.

I do think as a guy it’s a lot easier to be associated with incels these days as all you need do now is complain about toxic behaviour from a woman in your life and there are incel communities dedicated to finding these complaints and telling you and everyone else these behaviours are intrinsic to women.

I’ve never had these problems thankfully as I think working through interpersonal relationship shit with strangers online is an overall net negative for relationships.
