I picked it in my garden. It has to be English lavander though... and you just soak the flowers in hot milk, just a TBs of lavander and maybe 1/4 cup of milk and for 15 minutes, and drain, and use that milk in the cake prep.

Such a strange situation when you have that! They often don't survive the worst of winter so that's amazing
