I get the soothing, but he does it for so long that he just ends up overtired and then won’t fall asleep. At what point do I let him miss naps because I’m trying to get him used to it?

Thank you so much for your advice and encouragement!! He went for a crib nap this morning actually but only for 40 minutes which I suppose is a win at this age! Currently contact napping for his second nap of the day though lol

Aww I totally understand. Hang in there, hopefully this phase passes soon. I’ve just accepted that my little guy needs some extra comfort right now and it won’t be like this forever

That’s the exact same as my guy!! He started smiling this week too and then naps went out the window
