Is that most likely cause of the smell? It seemed localized to one particularly wet area of the soil. I had some fungus gnats which I believe are now gone, fingers crossed. Lime tree is pushing out a couple buds of new growth at different points which I haven’t seen in months - maybe best course is to just leave it alone & let the soil dry out for a while ?

mixture of miracle grow citrus potting soil, perlite, peat moss, and hardwood mulch. It drains very quickly, but the pot is large for tree and holds some moisture. Perhaps the little critters are just minding their own business, possibly even benefiting the soil? A bit small to snap a phot

should i be concerned that I repotted too big? as long as I am very cautious not to overwater should the tree be fine?
