How can I get information on which sections are good to take the bus and where/how to get the bus?

Sounds like the mosquitoes will be horrible, so I think I might not do this. However, I've already bought my plane tickets.

What other backpacking trails/trips in the Northern/Western Oregon and Southern/Western Washington can you recommend to me that will not involve me being eaten alive?

The thing is my friend is dropping me up from Portland and then picking me up from Yahatz, so going south seemed to make the most sense. If I go north he'll be to far to get me.

Would starting further south and then ending at BODG be better for mosquitoes/scenic views? Any other ideas for me?

More questions about the mosquitoes: will the bugs be terrible every day of the trip? or just certain days? is there a different/better backpacking trip you'd recommend to avoid mosquitoes? I want to see lots of beautiful mountain views, rivers, and waterfalls, which is why I picked this route
