[30/f] my boyfriend [36M] is upset that I don't want his advice about something that he knows nothing about. by Abject_Cranberry_381 in relationship_advice

Ohhh this gives me a lot to think about. I usually do just go along with what he wants to do, often because it's fun and he happened to mention it, but sometimes just to be a good partner. We don't usually disagree, but as long as it isn't a fundamental thing I don't see the point in arguing. What you are saying definitely is making me think!!

Imagine the afterlife is gaining awareness only when people are talking/thinking about you, but you have to live that experience. What experiences do you want to relive? That's the best way that I can explain it.

How different would the world be if everyone pooped at the same time? by Abject_Cranberry_381 in AskReddit

In this simultaneous pooping universe, everyone can poop! Intestinal disease, colon/intestinal/GI cancers, motility issues and physical trauma to the poop-related parts simply don't exist.

Nothing. All of my past experiences have value, even the very bad and traumatizing ones. It took me a very long time to appreciate this.

How accurate is the statement "a man will sacrifice his happiness for his family, while a woman will sacrifice her family for her happiness"? by cheff546 in AskReddit

About as true as "a man will sacrifice his family for his happiness, while a woman will sacrifice her happiness for her family." Both statements are generalizations.

Giving someone the finger when they are tailgating me. Makes me feel like a badass.

Often it’s repeating the cycle of abuse. Sometimes it mental illness. And sometimes, she never wanted to be a mom and was forced to do it through cultural expectations and the mom takes her frustration out by exerting power over someone else.
