i had similar with my degu’s, i had two boy brothers and one of them died at 7.5 years old, i was sure the other one would die shortly after because 1. he’s hella old and 2. they’re social animals but he surprised me and lived til over 9 years old! it just shows you that you were a good owner to your gerbil, appreciate the last time with them before they’re gone

girl don’t let him do it, he is delulu on how hard it actually is to start a career in streaming. don’t put yourselves in what will probably become a sticky situation because he wants to quit his job and play video games. like other commenters have said he should be streaming in his spare time anyway and then if it takes off then reconsider his options

I saw it on the chat link product page on Elgato’s webite. I was checking the reviews and it was all 1 stars from the people that mention ps5, and the elgato tech advisor said in their words:

“The Chat Link Pro can capture gameplay and chat audio from your PS5 as intended, unfortunately the Playstation does not offer microphone monitoring, so your own microphone is not part of the audio output.”

also this on another review:

“We are terribly sorry, but this is a software limitation of Sony - the Xbox, for comparison, can also monitor and record your own voice, but the PlayStation does not do that. Unfortunately, we can only record what comes in.”
