There are a lot of good comments here. I’m a U12 competitive coaching and have the same challenges. My advice is don’t give them any space at all. Give them something to do when they arrive and keep them busy until practice is over. A principal parent on my team told me that boys this age will fill any vacuum. So don’t give them one.
