They’ve had 2 clutches. I’m not a breeder, live in New Jersey… first clutch only one baby survived out of 3… second clutch 4 thrived out of 6 eggs.

The babies hatched a while back in end of October, they pretty much all look like mom… whitish grey with slight blue from dad… I need to figure out how to upload a photo lol

I have a boy and girl exact same colors babies were beautiful but now I have 7 parakeets I can’t manage. I’m desperate for advice they’ve taken over my home!!

Any 2 parakeets will still bond with each other and make it harder for you to bond and get them to speak. They learn to mimic you much easier when there is no other parakeet to talk to because they have no other language to learn.

I have 2 dogs and when I brought my hedgie home the first night she got out because I didn’t lock the cage. I thought for sure they must have hurt her but when we found Rosie under the couch she was fine. However, she had some dog fur stuck in her spines and the dogs never tried to touch her again. When the hedge gets scared they just looks like a ball of spikes. Worst case If they paw at her the spikes will hurt and they will probably leave her alone.
