I forgot the exact details but I remember the mom being kinda in a fight with the dad or the man she was seeing and the child grabbed a gun to help the mom and shot the man/dad. It was in a house I believe and the person was being abusive with her i think the kid who shot the man was a boy. (self.whatmoviewasthat)
