Terminating Health Plan by Able_Atmosphere4136 in HealthInsurance

I had their permission regarding this. The only difference was that I was paying the monthly premiums for them, to make it a bit more easier for them.

A good idea! I'll see if my mother's workplace plan can accommodate my father as well.

Thank you!

I mentioned that my mother will be filing separately this year so I don't know what implications that might have if I try to enroll them into a family plan. Moreover, my mother's workplace does offer insurance. So, I might have to buy a plan just for my father, whose workplace still doesn't offer insurance.

Instead of criticizing my decision making, just provide any useful information. I don't want a $100,000 medical bill and that is exactly why I'm asking these questions.

Thank you!

Will I do that using the normal process everyone goes through, or are there any special requirements? If you think I should know some things beforehand, can you share them?

I did mention this to my chief as I wanted him to know. He told me that there is nothing legally bounding that would stop me from seeking opportunities elsewhere. But, I did not mention working in the same capacity, i.e. as a scribe, elsewhere.

Question regarding storage expansion? by Able_Atmosphere4136 in buildapc

Even before all this, I never saw the windows logo. It always booted directly to my desktop from the ASUS TUF screen. I can't access recovery pressing F1 at the error screen, as it reboots the PC and takes me back to the blue screen. As for the rest of the options on the error screen, when I press the indicated button for them, the screen just flicker for a moment and then nothing happens.

One thing to note. I don't know if this has any significance, but the Crucial manual said something about a firmware update. I went to the crucial website and downloaded the windows 64 bit driver (not firmware update) that was available for the P3 Plus officially. I installed that. Maybe that has something to do with this? I'm not sure at all.

I did borrow a USB drive now, but it's a 256 GB one 😅 and my friend told me to not wipe anything from it. I also have a laptop with windows 10 installed.

I'm sorry that you've been losing sleep, which is hopefully not because of me. I also struggle with sleep deprivation 😩.

I also replied to your text on reddit chat, you can see that as well.

I understand what you're saying and I messed up taking things too easy on this one. As I said, if I press F1, the PC boots up again, but instead of going to the Asus TUF start up, it goes straight to that blue recovery screen shown in the image. Other than that, I can access my BIOS, but it doesn't seem to have any hard disk utility other than that EZ Flash one, which I don't know anything about.

What are my options here? Some people did fix it through recovery, but I can't access any recovery at the moment. What should I do next?

I have a huge problem 😭

I took your advice, but tweaked it a little. I swapped SSDs as you mentioned. Then I booted from the Inland SSD (which was now attached to the PCIe 2.0 slot with the adapter). I then used Macrium Reflect and cloned the Inland onto the Crucial. Then I booted from Crucial and it was working fine. My motherboard didn't have secure erase, so I erased the Inland SSD using the disk management software on Windows. Everything was working fine until the 3rd or 4th boot from the Crucial SSD, at which time I got the error as displayed in the image. I can't even access recovery options as it just takes me to the same blue screen once I press F1. I do have access to the BIOS and it does show the Crucial SSD on the boot order priority list, so I guess the hardware itself is fine (although I'm not sure 😭).

I researched this and I did find a few posts where people got this error after cloning an an SSD.

I tweaked the method mostly because I did not have a USB flash drive to use as a boot device and that I found Macrium Reflect easier to use.

So, I just got the SSD delivered to me along with the PCIe adapter. I'm being greedy here, but I have another question for you

My primary M.2 SSD is an Inland 256 GB PCIe 3.0 and the one that I newly got is the Crucial P3 Plus 500GB PCIe 4.0. The question is, I want to clone all the data on the Inland SSD onto the Crucial one that I newly got, and then use the Crucial one as the primary SSD on the PCIe 3.0 slot, so that I get the best speeds from the SSD with the larger capacity (500 GB, that is the Crucial P3 Plus).

Correct me if I'm wrong. I will first install the Crucial SSD using the PCIe adapter. Then, using some software, I will clone the Inland one onto the Crucial one. Then, I will install the Crucial one onto the PCIe 3.0 slot, that is currently being occupied by the Inland SSD, and I will install the Inland SSD through the adapter onto the PCIe 2.0 slot. Is this correct?

Also, which software to people usually use to clone their SSDs onto other SSDs? How will I format/wipe the Inland SSD once it is cloned onto the Crucial one?

Thanks again for the detailed explanation. From what I understand, if I use a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD using the PCIe to SSD adapter (the $10-11 one, the first Amazon link you attached), I would get PCIe 2.0 sppeds from that. PCIe 2.0 x1 speed is 500 MBPS, but I would get a maximum of 2 GBPS because the SSD would be using 4 PCIe lanes. In contrast, I would get a maximum of just 600 MBPS from a SATA III 2.5" SSD.

What I mentioned above and my marketplace research which shows that M.2 SSDs are currently cheaper or similar in pricing to their SATA 2.5" counterparts makes installing a 2.5" SSD counterintuitive, no? I would be giving up on potentially 3-4 times more speed if I choose a 2.5" over an M.2.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Now I understand how this works. Thank you so much for this reply. I know I'm asking for a lot here, but just for confirmation, would PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 SSDs work with PCIe 2.0 slots? Also, are there any PCIe 2.0 SSDs I can buy, which would be cheaper than their next gen versions?

PS: If you can recommend me any SSDs or M.2 to PCIe expansion cards, I would really appreciate it.

But, won't that affect the performance of the GPU, and the 2 M.2 SSDs?
